The tall, narrow building in Le Locle, with close-up high windows to reveal the daylight, demonstrates Zenith's history as independent manufacturing in the enterprising spirit of the industrial revolution. Why? The ‘El primero’ was in that time the world’s first automatic, high-frequency watch and it was equipped with a chronograph function. And the watch turned to be an exceptional chronograph. The Zenith ‘El Primero’ was manufactured for the first time in 1969.
